And I always play “Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)” from Savatage.
It’s one of the best instrumentals ever.

“Nantucket Sleighride” by Mountain is a proto-metal song I’ve been unwrapping today.
I’d read about how Randy Rhoads was influenced by Leslie West’s playing but I never could hear past his hard groove blues appeal of Mississippi Queen. West’s gentle singing and arpeggiated sections fall to disruptive chords. What a bout with a beast this song paints.
